Jeffrey Marx who was a ball boy for the old Baltimore Colts (before the franchise moved to Indianapolis), decides to track down some of the old ball players in order to write a book. One of those former stars was Joe Ehrmmann who was a wild and crazy guy during his playing days. Marx finds that Ehrmann has become a Christian and is a part time pastor, part time football coach at Gilmore High School in Balitmore. Marx is so intrigued by Ehrmann’s coaching style in which hs emphasizes relationships over blocking and tackling that he ends up spending the whole season following the Gilmore team.
This is a great book for Christian men, especially those who love sports. I read this book in about 3 days.
