I am a huge Mavs fan.  While they have not won a championship and have given us some disapointments along the way, they have won 50 games a year for 9 years in a row.   They make the playoffs every year and the fact is only 7 teams have won a NBA championship in the last 25 years.  The Mavs are entertaining and for the most part good guys who don't make a lot a negative news.  I love the way JET enagages the crowd.  Dirk loves the game and the city.  He plays hard and he has fun.

Someone challenged me the other day by saying the Cowboys have made the playoffs recently so what is the difference.  The difference is that the Cowboys have not been playing up to their potential.   Let's face it, the Mavs don't have the talent that other teams like the Lakers do but they give us what they've got.  The Lakers, Cavs and Celtics (until they lost Garnett) are clearly a cut above all the rest.  The second tier of teams include the Mavs and the are as good as anybody in that group.
